Trash should be placed by the road the night before the designated collection day.
The toter should be placed within 5 feet of the road (where possible), for collection.
Collection is done on all holidays except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
If your normal collection day falls on or after one of these holidays during the week, collection will be one day late for that week. All others will be unchanged.
Weekend holidays have no effect on the pickup schedule.
If cans are used in addition to the toter, size should be limited to 32 gallons for easier collection.
Cardboard boxes should be flattened, if possible.
Excessive or heavy yard wastes (grass clippings, dirt, etc.).
Hazardous waste of any kind. Examples- paint, oil, chemicals, fluorescent light tubes.
Tires.
Please call ahead before setting out extra large items (sofas, chairs, etc.) or extra large volumes of trash... there may be an additional charge.
Please do not overload the toter. The weight limit on the toter is 200 pounds.
Hazardous materials must not be put in the toter. Examples include car batteries, cans of paint, oil, liquid chemicals, etc.
The toter must not be loaded with dirt, concrete, construction debris or hot ashes.
Heavy duty steel items such as tanks, pipes, bicycles, engine parts, etc.
NON- ACCEPTABLE ITEMS
Televisions.
Concrete & rocks.
